The Texas Water Development Board approves $200,000 in financial assistance to the Vista Verde Water Systems, Inc. (Montgomery County) to finance water system upgrades

AUSTIN  (April 17, 2014)  The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $200,000 in loan forgiveness from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund for Vista Verde Water Systems, Inc. (Montgomery County). The assistance will finance planning, design, and construction of water system improvements to the existing water system.

Vista Verde Water Systems, Inc. could save approximately $338,340 by receiving financial assistance from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund.

Vista Verde Water Systems, Inc. will upgrade its system by constructing a new water well. The new well will use a different formation in the Gulf Coast Aquifer, which will improve water quality.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state's water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
