AUSTIN – (December 11, 2014) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $450,000 from the Rural Water Assistance Fund to the Bandera River Ranch Water Supply Corporation (Bandera County). The assistance will allow the Corporation to plan, design, and construct a new water well.

The Corporation could save approximately $271,000 over the life of the loan by using the Rural Water Assistance Fund.

The funding approved by the TWDB will allow the Corporation to drill a new water well, which will provide the Corporation with an additional water source to increase reliability in its water supply production capabilities.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state's water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
