Texas Water Development Board approves $1,565,000 in financial assistance to the Orangefield Water Supply Corporation (Orange County) for a wastewater collection system

AUSTIN – (December 11, 2014) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $1,565,000 from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund to the Orangefield Water Supply Corporation (Orange County). The Corporation will be able to finance the planning, acquisition, and design phases associated with installing new wastewater collection systems.

The Corporation could save approximately $389,000 over the life of the loan by using the Clean Water State Revolving Fund.

The Corporation will install collection systems in four subdivisions and replace on-site septic tanks. The installations will include approximately 900 connections.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state's water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
