Texas Water Development Board approves $240,281 in financial assistance to San Pedro Estates Water, Limited Liability Corporation (Val Verde County) for a new well

AUSTIN – (January 29, 2015) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution loan forgiveness in the amount of $240,281 from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to San Pedro Estates Water, Limited Liability Corporation (Val Verde County). The assistance will finance the design and construction of a new well.

The well is an urgent needs project that will bring an additional water source to the San Pedro Canyon Estates. San Pedro is a very small community serving approximately 58 homes.

With the assistance approved today, the Authority will be able to provide first-time sewer service to approximately 105 connections within the Angelina Fresh Water Supply District No. 1's service area, including the Redland Estates subdivision and additional homes along the proposed sewer line route.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state's water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
