AUSTIN – (April 29, 2015) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution loan forgiveness in the amount of $153,000 from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to Corix Utilities, Inc., (Burnet and Llano counties). The assistance will allow the Utility to finance construction costs associated with the replacement of existing water meters for four water systems.

The Utility will be able to replace approximately 344 meters with an automatic reading meter system. The new system will reduce water loss and maximize water efficiency in the Paradise Point, Quail Creek, Sandy Harbor, and Smithwick Mills water systems.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state's water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
