Texas Water Development Board approves $200,000 in financial assistance to the D Bar B Water Wastewater Supply Corporation (Dallas County) for a rural water supply project

AUSTIN – (May 6, 2015) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution loan forgiveness in the amount of $200,000 from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to the D Bar B Water Wastewater Supply Corporation (Dallas County). The assistance will allow the Corporation to finance the planning and design costs associated with a rural water supply project.

With the assistance approved today, the Corporation will be able to evaluate alternative water sources for its customers and determine the most feasible option. The Corporation is a very small system serving approximately 66 connections.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state's water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
