Texas Water Development Board approves $1,215,000 to the Ables Springs Water Supply Corporation (Kaufman County) for a water supply project

AUSTIN – (December 14, 2015) –-The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $1,215,000 from the Texas Water Development Fund to the Ables Springs Water Supply Corporation (Kaufman County). The Corporation is financing a water supply project with the assistance approved today.

The Corporation could save approximately $203,000 over the life of the loan by using the Texas Water Development Fund.

The assistance will finance the construction and engineering costs of a water treatment and distribution system that allows the Corporation to purchase treated water from the North Texas Municipal Water District.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state's water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
