Texas Water Development Board approves $200,000 to the La Salle Landing Water Supply Corporation (Jackson County) for water system improvements

AUSTIN  (March 21, 2016)  The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $200,000 in loan forgiveness from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to the La Salle Landing Water Supply Corporation (Jackson County). The assistance will finance construction costs associated with water system improvements.

The improvements to the water system include replacing water lines and installing a ground storage tank and customer water meters. The Corporation will also construct a new building to house filters and equipment. This project is funded through TWDB's Very Small Systems Program.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state's water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
