Jerry Millsaps hired at TWDB West Texas Field Office

AUSTIN  (June 28, 2016)  The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) recently hired Jerry Millsaps as the project manager and outreach specialist at the TWDB West Texas field office. The office, located in Lubbock, Texas, provides local outreach for the Panhandle, South Plains, and western portions of Texas, as well as management for area projects receiving financial assistance from the TWDB.

Jerry is a production engineer with more than 25 years of experience in the civil engineering, workforce management, environmental, and safety management fields. He honorably retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving 22 years as a civil engineer production manager and air traffic control specialist. Jerry also served as the operations director at the Lubbock Reese Redevelopment Authority. While working at the Authority, he received national recognition from the National Association of Installation Developers for the redevelopment and reuse effort to successfully convert the former Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock into a thriving economic powerhouse, now known as the Reese Technology Center. Additionally, Jerry worked for the Lubbock Independent School District as the energy, environment, and sustainability manager.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state's water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
