Texas Water Development Board approves $2 million to the Coryell City Water Supply District (Bosque, Coryell, Hamilton, and McLennan counties) for a waterline replacement project

AUSTIN – (September 22, 2016) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $2 million from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to the Coryell City Water Supply District (Bosque, Coryell, Hamilton, and McLennan counties). The District will be able to finance the planning, design, and construction costs associated with a waterline replacement project.

The District could save approximately $414,000 over the life of the loan by using the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund.

The District will replace approximately 10 miles of waterline with the assistance approved today. The new lines will be designed to maintain required flow and pressure and will help to reduce water loss in the District.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state's water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
