Texas Water Development Board approves $2,333,300 to Rolling Hills Water Service, Inc. (Hood County) for water system improvements

AUSTIN – (May 4, 2017)  The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $2,333,300 in loan forgiveness from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to Rolling Hills Water Service, Inc. (Hood County). The Corporation will use the assistance to finance the planning, design, and construction costs associated with water system improvements.

The Corporation will be able to replace water lines, a ground storage tank, a hydropnuematic tank, pump house, and pump station with the assistance approved today. In addition, the Corporation will be able to replace water meters with automated meter reading units. The new meters will help reduce water loss within the Corporation's service area.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state's water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
