AUSTIN – (May 31, 2017) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $355,456,454 for water and wastewater system projects and a water supply project. Of this funding, $23,171,454 was approved for rural projects.

• $1.5 million to the Angelina and Neches River Authority (Angelina County) for wastewater system improvements
• $330 million to the City of Dallas (Dallas, Denton, Collin, Ellis, Tarrant, and Kaufman counties) for water and wastewater system improvements
• $135,000 to the Greater Texoma Utility Authority on behalf of the City of Tom Bean (Grayson County) for a water supply project
• $4,805,000 to the City of Rogers (Bell County) for water and wastewater system improvements
• $2,285,000 to the City of San Juan (Hidalgo County) for first-time wastewater service
• $16,731,454 to the Town of Vinton (El Paso County) for wastewater system improvements

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state’s water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
