AUSTIN  (November 20, 2014)  The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $1,040,000 from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund to the City of Winnsboro (Franklin and Wood counties). The assistance will allow the City to finance planning, acquisition, design, and construction of renovations to its wastewater treatment plant.

The City could save approximately $129,339 over the life of the loan by using the Clean Water State Revolving Fund.

To extend the life of its wastewater treatment plant, the City plans to renovate several components. When complete, the renovations will extend the life of the wastewater treatment plant by 20 years.
