Texas Water Development Board approves $151,839 in financial assistance to the Lee County Fresh Water Supply District No. 1 (Lee County) for a water pump station

AUSTIN – (March 26, 2015) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution loan forgiveness in the amount of $151,839 from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to the Lee County Fresh Water Supply District No. 1 (Lee County). The District will be able to finance the planning and design phases associated with the development of a new water pump station.

When complete, the new water pump station will include two ground storage tanks, a booster pumping station, a pressure tank, and piping connections.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state's water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
