Texas Water Development Board approves $731,000 in financial assistance to the Mooreville Water Supply Corporation (Falls County) for a water supply project

AUSTIN – (December 1, 2015) –-The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of a $731,000 grant from the Economically Distressed Areas Program (EDAP) to the Mooreville Water Supply Corporation (Falls County). The Corporation will be able to finance construction costs associated with a water supply project.

With the assistance approved today, the Corporation will be able to construct a pipeline to the Central Texas Water Supply Corporation. The project will provide a reliable water supply for the Corporation's service area.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state's water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
