AUSTIN – (January 12, 2017)  The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $23,228,018 for water and wastewater system improvements. Of this funding, $635,000 was designated for rural water projects.

  • $5,601,861 to the City of Arlington (Tarrant County) for wastewater system improvements
  • $16,991,157 to the City of Fort Worth (Denton, Johnson, Parker, Tarrant, and Wise Counties) for wastewater system improvements
  • $635,000 to the Kellyville-Berea Water Supply Corporation (Marion County) for water system improvements

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state's water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
