AUSTIN – (January 26, 2017) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $20,094,197 for water and wastewater system improvements. Of this funding, $6,445,362 was designated for rural water projects.
- Texas Water Development Board approves $5,741,175 to the City of Grand Prairie (Dallas, Ellis, and Tarrant counties) for wastewater system improvements
- Texas Water Development Board approves $500,000 to the City of Alton (Hidalgo County) for stormwater improvements
- Texas Water Development Board approves $539,902 to the City of Melvin (McCulloch County) for water system improvements
- Texas Water Development Board approves $200,000 to the 114th Mobile Home Park, LLC (Lubbock County) for water system improvements
- Texas Water Development Board approves $3,393,435 to the City of Ballinger (Runnels County) for water system improvements
- Texas Water Development Board approves $5,445,839 to the City of San Marcos (Hays County) for reclaimed water system improvements
- Texas Water Development Board approves $1,961,821 to the City of San Marcos (Hays County) for a flood mitigation project
- Texas Water Development Board approves $2,312,025 to the City of Huntington (Angelina County) for wastewater system improvements
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state's water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
