The Texas Water Development Board today approved financial assistance totaling $28,430,000 for rural water and wastewater projects

AUSTIN – (February 10, 2017)  The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $28,430,000 for rural water and wastewater system improvement projects.

  • $7 million to the City of River Oaks (Tarrant County) for wastewater system improvements
  • $8 million to the City of River Oaks (Tarrant County) for water system improvements
  • $13,430,000 to the West Wise Special Utility District (Wise County) for water system improvements

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state's water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
