AUSTIN – (February 23, 2017) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $70,795,908 for water and wastewater system improvements. Of this funding, $19,495,908 was designated for rural water projects.
- Texas Water Development Board approves $51,300,000 to the City of Corpus Christi (Nueces County) for water system improvements
- Texas Water Development Board approves $200,000 to Derby Ing. Utility (Frio County) for water system improvements
- Texas Water Development Board approves $15 million to the City of Granbury (Hood County) for water system improvements
- Texas Water Development Board approves $4,295,908 to the City of Hudson (Angelina County) for wastewater system improvements
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state’s water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
