Texas Water Development Board today approved financial assistance totaling $12,900,000 for rural water projects

AUSTIN – (April 20, 2017) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $12,900,000 for rural water projects.

  • $900,000 to Nueces County on behalf of Cyndie Park 2 Water Supply Corporation for water system improvements
  • $12 million to the City of Jarrell (Williamson County) for wastewater system improvements

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state’s water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
