Texas Water Development Board today approved financial assistance totaling $32,918,700 for water and wastewater system projects

AUSTIN – (May 4, 2017)  The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $32,918,700 for water and wastewater system projects. Of this funding, $17,918,700 was approved for rural projects.

  • $2,333,300 to Rolling Hills Water Service, Inc. (Hood County) for water system improvements
  • $1.5 million to the City of Woodbranch Village (Montgomery County) for water system improvements
  • $15 million to the Crystal Clear Special Utility District (Comal, Guadalupe, and Hays counties) for water system improvements
  • $14,085,400 to the City of Cotulla (La Salle County) for water and wastewater system improvements

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state’s water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
