Texas Water Development Board approves $1.5 million to the City of Woodbranch Village (Montgomery County) for water system improvements

AUSTIN – (May 4, 2017) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $1.5 million from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to the City of Woodbranch Village (Montgomery County). The assistance will finance planning, acquisition, design, and construction costs associated with water system improvements.

The City could save approximately $119,000 over the life of the loan by using the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund.

The City will be able to construct a 150,000-gallon ground storage tank and a new pump station with the assistance approved today. The City will also make other improvements to the water system that will help increase the City's total storage capacity.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state's water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
