AUSTIN – (June 12, 2017) The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $7,680,000 for rural water and wastewater systems.
- $200,000 to the Town of Buckholts (Milam County) for a water meter replacement project
- $1.5 million to the City of Castroville (Medina County) for wastewater system improvements
- $5.5 million to the City of Gladewater (Gregg and Upshur counties) for water and wastewater system improvements
- $480,000 to the Greater Texoma Utility Authority on behalf of the City of Ector (Fannin County) for wastewater system improvements
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state’s water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
