AUSTIN – (August 17, 2017) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $1.9 million from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to the D-and-M Water Supply Corporation (Nacogdoches County). The Corporation will use the assistance to finance the planning, acquisition, design, and construction costs associated with water system improvements.

The Corporation could save approximately $76,000 over the life of the loan by using the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund.

Improvements to the water system include drilling a new water well and replacing or rehabilitating a 47,000-gallon standpipe, a 150,000-gallon ground storage tank, and two 5,000-gallon hydropneumatic tanks. The improvements will also help reduce the Corporation's water loss.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state's water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
