AUSTIN – (September 7, 2017) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $6.3 million, consisting of a $3,150,000 loan from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) and a $3,150,000 million loan from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF), to the City of Blanco (Blanco County). The City will be able to finance water and wastewater system improvements with the assistance approved today.

The financial assistance approved today could save the City approximately $1.4 million over the life of the loans.

The assistance provided by the DWSRF will allow the City to finance the planning and construction costs associated with improvements at its water treatment plant facilities.

The City will be able to finance the planning and construction phases of a 225,000-gallon-per-day wastewater treatment plant with the CWSRF funding. -
