Texas Water Development Board approves $8,210,000 to the Acton Municipal Utility District (Hood County) for wastewater system improvements

AUSTIN – (March 1, 2018) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $8,210,000 from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund to the Acton Municipal Utility District (Hood County). The District will use the assistance to finance construction costs associated with a wastewater system improvement project.

The District could save approximately $1.4 million over the life of the loan by using the Clean Water State Revolving Fund.

With the assistance approved today, the District will make improvements at its existing De Cordova Bend Estates Wastewater Treatment Plant. The District previously received $644,500 from the TWDB for the planning and design phases of this project. -

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state's water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
