Texas Water Development Board today approved financial assistance totaling $37,431,539 for water and wastewater system projects

AUSTIN – (March 1, 2018) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling 37,431,539 for water and wastewater system projects. Of this funding, $13,463,239 was approved for rural water projects.

  • $8,210,000 to the Acton Municipal Utility District (Hood County) for wastewater system improvements
  • $3,563,239 to the City of Lawn (Taylor County) for a regional water supply project and water system improvements
  • $12,500,000 to the City of Amarillo (Potter County) for wastewater system improvements
  • $3,258,300 to the City of Euless (Tarrant County) for a reclaimed water project
  • $9,900,000 to the City of Devine (Medina County) for water system improvements

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state's water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
