Texas Water Development Board today approved financial assistance totaling $13,429,280 for water and wastewater system projects

AUSTIN – (April 5, 2018) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $13,429,280 for water and wastewater system projects. Of this funding, $1,928,780 was approved for rural water projects.

  • $11,500,500 to the City of Alamo (Hidalgo County) for wastewater system improvements
  • $300,000 to the Rochelle Water Supply Corporation (McCulloch County) for water system improvements
  • $138,780 to Patterson Water Supply LLC (Tarrant County) for water system improvements
  • $1,490,000 to the Nevada Special Utility District (Collin County) for water system improvements

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state’s water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
