Texas Water Development Board approves $415,000 to the City of Falfurrias (Brooks County) for a wastewater system improvement project

AUSTIN – (July 26, 2018) –The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $415,000 from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund to the City of Falfurrias (Brooks County). The City will use the assistance to finance the planning and design costs associated with a wastewater system improvement project.
The City could save approximately $117,000 by using the Clean Water State Revolving Fund.
With the assistance approved today, the City will replace two existing lift stations and approximately 12,800 linear feet of pipeline. The City will also complete upgrades to the wastewater treatment plant.
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state’s water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
