Texas Water Development Board today approved financial assistance totaling $14,520,510 for water and wastewater system projects

AUSTIN - (September 6, 2018) - The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $14,520,510 for water and wastewater system projects. Of this funding, $1,520,510 was approved for rural projects.
- $520,510 to the Beechwood Water Supply Corporation (Sabine County) for Hurricane Harvey recovery projects
- $1 million to the City of Bevil Oaks (Jefferson County) for Hurricane Harvey recovery projects
- $13 million to the City of Kerrville (Kerr County) for water and wastewater system improvements
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state’s water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
