Texas Water Development Board approves $1,480,000 to the Jasper County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 (Jasper County) for wastewater system improvements

AUSTIN – (October 30, 2018) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $1,480,000 from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund to the Jasper County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 (Jasper County). The District will use the assistance to finance the planning, acquisition, design, and construction of wastewater system improvements.
The District could save approximately $267,000 over the life of the loan by using the Clean Water State Revolving Fund.
With the assistance approved today, the District will be able to replace approximately 11,300 linear feet of sewer lines and make other improvements to its wastewater collection system.
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state's water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
