Texas Water Development Board approves $450,000 to the Pleasant Springs Water Supply Corporation (Anderson County) for water system improvements

AUSTIN – (November 12, 2018) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $450,000, consisting of a $150,000 loan and $300,000 in loan forgiveness, from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) to the Pleasant Springs Water Supply Corporation (Anderson County). The Corporation will use the assistance to finance construction costs associated with water system improvements.
The Corporation could save approximately $36,000 over the life of the loan by using the DWSRF.
With the assistance approved today, the Corporation will be able to complete water system improvements that will enable a new water well and elevated storage tank to be put into service.
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state's water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
