AUSTIN  (December 13, 2018)  The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $12,865,000, consisting of $11,450,000 in grant funding and a $1,415,000 loan from the Economically Distressed Areas Program (EDAP), to the El Paso Water Utilities Public Service Board acting on behalf of the City of El Paso (El Paso County). The financial assistance will allow the Public Service Board to finance construction of a first-time wastewater service project.

In addition to the grant funding, the Public Service Board could save approximately $25,600 over the life of the loan by using EDAP.

With the assistance approved today, the Public Service Board will be able to provide first-time wastewater service to the Montana Vista area.
