AUSTIN  (December 13, 2018)  The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $3.3 million from the Texas Water Development Fund (TWDF) to the Moffat Water Supply Corporation (Bell County). The Corporation will use the assistance to finance the planning, acquisition, design, and construction costs associated with water system improvements.

The Corporation could save approximately $344,000 over the life of the loan by using TWDF.

With the assistance approved today, the Corporation will be able to provide additional water supplies by constructing a new groundwater well and a new 200,000-gallon elevated water storage tank. The project will also connect the new facilities to the existing distribution system.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state's water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
