AUSTIN – (July 22, 2019) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of a $1,010,000 loan from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund to the Nacogdoches County Municipal Utility District No. 1 (Nacogdoches County). The District will use the assistance to finance planning, design, and construction costs associated with wastewater system improvements.

The District could save approximately $225,550 by using the Clean Water State Revolving Fund.

Due to a Texas Department of Transportation widening project, the District must relocate approximately 7,500 linear feet of sanitary sewer force main that runs parallel to U.S. Highway 59. With the assistance approved today, the District will relocate the pipeline and replace an existing lift station with a new wet well, pump system, and electrical controls.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state’s water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
