Texas Water Development Board approves $500,000 to Palo Pinto County for wastewater system improvements

AUSTIN – (November 21, 2019) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of a $500,000 loan from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund to Palo Pinto County. The County will use the assistance to finance planning, acquisition, and design costs associated with wastewater system improvements.

The County could save approximately $37,435 over the life of the loan by using the Clean Water State Revolving Fund.

With the assistance approved today, the County will plan and design a new wastewater treatment plant to replace the existing plant, which is reaching the end of its design life. 

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state's water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
