AUSTIN – (May 21, 2020) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $30,405,615 for water and wastewater system projects.
- $725,000 to the Sandy Land Underground Water Conservation District (Yoakum County) for an agricultural water conservation equipment loan program
- $1,400,000 to the Westwood Shores Municipal Utility District (Trinity County) for water system improvements
- $4,230,000 to the City of Aledo (Parker County) for wastewater system improvements
- $4,750,000 to the City of Bertram (Burnet County) for wastewater system improvements
- $11,805,000 to the City of San Antonio (Bexar County) acting by and through the San Antonio Water System for water system improvements
- $7,495,615 to the City of Rio Grande City (Starr County) for wastewater system improvements
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state’s water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
