AUSTIN – (August 5, 2020) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $621,888,102 for water and wastewater system projects.
- $295,000 to the Palo Pinto County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 (Palo Pinto County) for a wastewater system improvement project
- $1,546,404 to the City of Athens (Henderson County) for a new sewer line
- $199,700,000 to the Riverbend Water Resources District (Bowie County) for a new regional water system
- $300,000 to the City of Annona (Red River County) for a new regional water system
- $450,000 to the Sandbranch Water Supply Corporation (Dallas County) for water and wastewater projects
- $413,000,000 to the Upper Trinity Regional Water District (Fannin, Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Grayson, and Wise counties) for Lake Ralph Hall
- $3,997,286 to the City of Eagle Pass (Maverick County) for an advanced metering infrastructure project
- $2,599,412 to the City of Raymondville (Willacy County) for a water system improvement project
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state’s water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
