Texas Water Development Board today approved financial assistance totaling $15,442,000 for water and wastewater system projects

AUSTIN – (November 5, 2020) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $15,442,000 for water and wastewater system projects.

  • $642,000 to the Bluff Dale Water Supply Corporation (Erath County) for water system improvements
  • $3,965,000 to the City of Madisonville (Madison County) for wastewater system improvements
  • $6,000,000 to the Port O’Connor Improvement District (Calhoun County) for a water system expansion project
  • $4,835,000 to the Town of Ransom Canyon (Lubbock County) for water and wastewater system improvements

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
