Texas Water Development Board today approved financial assistance totaling $197,491,400 for flood and wastewater projects

AUSTIN – (March 25, 2021) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $197,491,400 for flood and wastewater projects.

  • $491,400 to the Cameron County Drainage District No. 1 (Cameron County) for a drainage improvement project
  • $197,000,000 to the City of Seguin (Guadalupe County) for a wastewater system expansion project

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
