AUSTIN – (April 22, 2021) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $85,759,490 for wastewater and flood projects and a Hurricane Harvey disaster recovery project.

$12,106,640 for watershed flood protection planning studies
$11,841,990 to the Nueces River Authority (Uvalde and San Patricio counties, et al.) for a drainage improvement project
$77,500 to the City of Mart (Limestone and McLennan counties) for a flood planning study
$3,210,000 to El Paso County for a drainage improvement project
$885,551 to the City of Raymondville (Willacy County) for a drainage improvement project
$1,457,571 to Willacy County for a drainage improvement project
$31,386,238 to the City of Marble Falls (Burnet County) for drainage and flood mitigation projects
$2,000,000 to the Fort Bend County Levee Improvement District No. 14 (Fort Bend County) for a flood management project
$6,024,000 to the City of Kingsville (Kleberg County) for flood management projects
$2,490,000 to the Acton Municipal Utility District (Hood County) for wastewater system improvements
$14,130,000 to the City of Willow Park (Parker County) for a wastewater treatment plant project
$150,000 to the City of Ivanhoe (Tyler County) for a Hurricane Harvey disaster recovery project

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
