Texas Water Development Board announces the 2021 Texas Rain Catcher Award recipients

AUSTIN – (September 23, 2021) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) announced today the recipients of its annual Texas Rain Catcher Award, a rainwater harvesting competition and recognition program. The award recipients have displayed excellence in rainwater harvesting in Texas in four categories: commercial, educational, governmental, and residential. Congratulations to the 2021 Texas Rain Catcher Award winners:

  • Credit Human Headquarters for their rainwater and condensate harvesting system
  • Edwards Aquifer Authority Education Outreach Center Demonstration Garden at Morgan’s Wonderland Camp for its rainwater harvesting system
  • Mansfield Water Utilities and Tarrant Regional Water District for its development of a cistern
  • The Thornton residence for its water supply rainwater harvesting system

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
