AUSTIN – (December 15, 2022) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $22,689,845 for water and flood projects.
- $2,454,100 to the City of Lexington (Lee County) for water system improvements
- $2,310,000 to the City of Daisetta (Liberty County) for water system improvements
- $10,525,745 to the Harris County Flood Control District (Harris County) for a flood mitigation project
- $7,400,000 to the City of San Marcos (Hays County) for drainage system improvements
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
