Texas Water Development Board approves $2,360,000 to the Greater Texoma Utility Authority on behalf of Northwest Grayson County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 (Grayson County) for water system improvements

AUSTIN – (March 3, 2022) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $2,360,000 from the Texas Water Development Fund to the Greater Texoma Utility Authority on behalf of Northwest Grayson County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 (Grayson County). The District will use the assistance to finance the planning, design, and construction of water system improvements.
The District could save more than $16,000 over the life of the financing by using the Texas Water Development Fund.
With the financial assistance approved today, the District will construct a 250,000-gallon elevated storage tank, new pump station, pressure tank, and distribution system improvements to connect to the existing system.
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
