AUSTIN – (April 11, 2022) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $24,000,000 from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to the City of Pflugerville (Travis County). The City will use the assistance to finance the construction of water system improvements.
The City could save approximately $5,000,000 over the life of the loan by using the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund.
With the financial assistance approved today, the City will upgrade its water treatment plant to address damage caused by hydrilla and zebra mussel infestations in Lake Pflugerville and increase the capacity to meet the projected water demands over the next 20 years.
