Texas Water Development Board approves $2,160,000 to the Greater Texoma Utility Authority on behalf of the City of Pottsboro (Grayson County) for wastewater system improvements

AUSTIN – (May 11, 2022) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $2,160,000 from the Texas Water Development Fund to the Greater Texoma Utility Authority on behalf of the City of Pottsboro (Grayson County). The City will use the assistance for the rehabilitation and expansion of a wastewater treatment plant.

The City requested the additional funding to supplement previous financing from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund for the last phase of construction. With the assistance approved today, the City will complete the rehabilitation and expansion of the wastewater treatment plant.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
