AUSTIN – (May 11, 2022) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $28,611,956 for water, wastewater, and flood projects.
- $2,001,900 to the City of Strawn (Palo Pinto County) for water system improvements
- $3,456,790 to the City of Ennis (Ellis County) for a flood management project
- $432,285 to the City of Kennedale (Tarrant County) for a flood management project
- $2,160,000 to the Greater Texoma Utility Authority on behalf of the City of Pottsboro (Grayson County) for wastewater system improvements
- $3,275,000 to the North Hunt Special Utility District (Delta, Fannin, and Hunt counties) for water system improvements
- $5,919,000 to the City of Jacksonville (Cherokee County) for wastewater system improvements
- $1,269,700 to the M&M Water Supply Corporation (Angelina County) for water system improvements
- $10,097,281 to the City of Socorro (El Paso County) for a drainage improvement project
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
