AUSTIN – (July 7, 2022) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $10,808,455 for water, wastewater, and flood projects.
- $263,925 to Jackson County County-Wide Drainage District for a watershed flood protection planning study
- $2,119,530 to the East Texas Municipal Utility District (Smith County) for water system improvements
- $1,650,000 to the Riverside Special Utility District (Walker County) for water system improvements
- $6,775,000 to the City of Corrigan (Polk County) for a wastewater improvement project
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
