Texas Water Development Board approves $13,000,000 to the Parker County Special Utility District (Parker County) for water system improvements

AUSTIN – (August 18, 2022) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $13,000,000 to the Parker County Special Utility District (Parker County) from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF). The District will use the assistance to finance the planning, acquisition, design, and construction of a water system improvement project.

The District could save approximately $4,400,000 over the life of the loan by using the DWSRF.

With the financial assistance approved today, the District will construct water distribution system improvements, including a new elevated storage tank, transmission lines, and distribution lines.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
