Texas Water Development Board approves $4,300,859 to the City of Marble Falls (Burnet County) for wastewater system improvements

AUSTIN – (January 19, 2023) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $4,300,859 to the City of Marble Falls (Burnet County), consisting of $2,670,000 in financing and $1,630,859 in principal forgiveness, from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF). The City will use the assistance for the construction of wastewater system improvements.

In addition to the loan forgiveness, the City could save approximately $828,455 over the life of the loan by using the CWSRF.

With the financial assistance approved today, the City will construct 5.3 miles of additional reclaimed water system lines and a pump station with three 700 gallon-per-minute pumps.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
